From the Stanford AI scene

Join Liezl Puzon on July 25th at Zipnosis for an introduction to artificial intelligence and machine learning. She will teach the basics of how AI / ML works and what applications it is relevant for, followed by a Q&A. For the second half, Pete (SVAI Founder) will give an update on SVAI's direction and future plans in Minnesota. Wei Wang will join to talk about SVAI's recent AI Genomics Hackathon in San Francisco.

We're excited to host this event in Minnesota to promote connectivity and access between the SF Bay Area AI scene and Minnesota's Healthcare and Bio Medical industry.

Wei Wang

National Marrow Donor Program

Wei Wang is an an associate bioinformatics scientist from NMDP (National Marrow Donor Program). He has more than eight years work experience in genomics and computational biology. Currently, he’s working to develop the pipelines to analyze the genetic variants which could encode neoantigens and MiHAs (Minor Histocompatibility antigens), both of them have great potential for immunotherapy.

Wei and team have built a cohort which includes 500 whole genome sequencing data from high-resolution HLA-matched unrelated donor and recipient allo-HCT pairs. He hopes to use Machine Learning to predict T cell epitopes, such as neoantigens and MiHAs.
