Deep Learning for Blood Testing / AI for Clinical Trial Matching.

This month we are featuring a survey of early stage startups working in various sectors of health and medicine.

Athelas

"Athelas uses the novel approach of deep learning to automatically analyze blood cells in seconds. Our algorithms are trained to differentiate cell morphology and pick up on nucleation features. This automation technique lets us perform an array of blood tests on drop samples of blood accurately, rapidly, and for a fraction of existing costs."

Mendel

"It takes 15 years before a cutting edge treatment can be prescribed to you by your doctor. This journey from a research lab to your doctor's office is longer than your cancer can wait. With Mendel, You share a list of your doctors, and we collect your records. We match your records with the world's largest knowledge-base of cancer trials. You contact and enroll in clinical trials with the click of a button."
